Where the Field Becomes the Gallery

Memorial Day Weekend · May 22–25, 2026 · Across South Carolina

There is something quietly powerful about art made by people who know what it means to show up—and veteran farmers know that as well as anyone. This Memorial Day weekend, Farms of the Brave is inviting veteran artists and makers to bring their work to some of the most meaningful ground in South Carolina.

The Farms of the Brave Ag+Art Tour is a four-day celebration spanning the Upstate, Midlands, Lowcountry, and PeeDee regions—a statewide circuit connecting travelers with veteran-led farms and the artists who share their stories. Each stop is a place of purpose. Each farm has earned its ground. And this year, we're opening those gates to the creative community.

What Is the Ag+Art Tour?

Ag+Art is exactly what it sounds like: agriculture and art, side by side, on working farms. Visitors travel a self-guided route across South Carolina over Memorial Day weekend, stopping at certified Farms of the Brave locations to experience the land, meet the farmers, and encounter the work of artists who have found inspiration—or simply a beautiful place to show.

It's one of the most distinctive exhibition contexts in the state. No white walls. No gallery lighting. Just open sky, honest ground, and the kind of audience that drives out of its way because something matters to them.

A Call to Artists and Makers

We are looking for artists and vendors who want to show their work in an environment unlike any other. If your work connects to the land—to your service, heritage, agriculture, place, or the American rural experience—this tour was made for you. And if your work simply deserves to be seen by people who appreciate beauty and craft, we'd love to talk.

Participating artists will be matched with a farm host for one or more days of the tour, with the opportunity to sell, show, demonstrate, or simply be present with their work. Our farms draw visitors who are curious, intentional, and deeply appreciative of what it takes to make something by hand.

How to Get Involved

We're hosting an information session via Zoom on Monday, March 16th at 6:00 PM for artists, vendors, and anyone interested in participating. This is the best way to learn about the tour structure, ask questions, and get matched with a farm stop that fits your work.

To receive your Zoom link, contact us via our website. We'll get you the details and look forward to meeting you.

This Memorial Day, we're not just honoring the service that came before—we're celebrating what grows from it. The farms are open. The fields are ready. We'd love for your work to be part of the story.
